Role Overview
The Fit Out Construction Engineer represents the consultant on site and oversees interior fit-out works across large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects.
The role monitors contractor performance, ensures compliance with drawings and specifications, maintains quality standards, and supports delivery through handover.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect fit-out construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, themed elements, FF&E, and specialty fit-out works.
- Review contractor material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and RFIs.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and specialist vendors to resolve site issues.
- Prepare observation reports, NCRs, snagging lists, progress assessments, and technical reports.
- Verify progress and recommend contractor payment applications.
- Ensure quality procedures, schedules, construction methodologies, safety requirements, and regulations are followed.
- Witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Attend progress meetings and report to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
