About the Role
CMS MENA seeks a Financial Services Regulatory Associate to join its fast-growing practice in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The role involves advising on non-contentious regulatory matters across UAE and Saudi Arabia, including licensing, compliance, and product development.

Responsibilities
- Advise on regulatory licensing and authorisation applications before UAE and Saudi regulators (DFSA, FSRA, CBUAE, SCA/CMA, KSA)
- Advise clients on ongoing conduct of business, governance and compliance obligations
- Support clients on outsourcing and third party arrangements, including regulatory assessments and drafting agreements
- Draft, review and negotiate regulatory facing documentation and client documentation
- Advise on new product launches, business model changes and innovative offerings (including fintech, payments and digital assets)
- Advise on cross border regulatory issues
- Prepare thought leadership articles and deliver training to clients
Requirements
- England & Wales qualified lawyer with strong post qualification experience in a leading international law firm
- 4 6 years PQE
- Demonstrable experience advising on financial regulatory matters relevant to banks, broker dealers, asset managers, payment services, fintech or similar regulated financial institutions
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in UAE and/or Saudi Arabia, or ability to translate experience from other major financial centres
- Experience managing matters with autonomy, including direct client interaction and supervising junior team members
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to provide clear, practical, commercially focused regulatory advice

About the Role
- Join CMS’s fast growing Financial Services Regulatory practice in the UAE, based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
- Work closely with the Financial Regulatory Partner on a broad range of non contentious regulatory matters across UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Advise a diverse client base including local and international banks, broker dealers, asset managers, payment service providers, fintech, and more.
- The role offers significant client exposure, responsibility for managing workstreams, and opportunity to contribute to growth.

About You
