Role Overview
FlyAkeed is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager.
The role supports preparation, analysis, and review of financial reporting activities.
The position is responsible for compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
The preferred background includes financial reporting experience from a leading audit firm, FM&V knowledge, and professional certification such as CMA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure financial reporting data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
- Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Review financial information and accounting treatments for IFRS, GAAP, and company policy compliance.
- Coordinate with finance teams, stakeholders, and external auditors on reporting requirements and audit queries.
- Support year-end closing and timely completion of reporting activities.
- Analyze results, variances, trends, and key performance indicators for management.
- Assist with financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
- Improve financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures.
- Identify reporting risks and recommend improvements.
- Prepare presentations and financial analysis for senior management.
- Mentor junior team members when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, financial management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an audit firm is required.
- FM&V experience is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting systems or ERP.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate business insights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good understanding of financial management and valuation concepts.
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting systems or ERP proficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to stay current with accounting standards, reporting regulations, and best practices.
