Role Overview
Lead technical underwriting for a profitable and compliant Financial Lines corporate portfolio across the UAE and GCC.
Focus heavily on Professional Indemnity insurance and SPPI while supporting D&O, Errors and Omissions, Commercial Crime, Fidelity Guarantee, and Cyber Insurance.
Evaluate technical risks across professional sectors including consultants, medical practitioners, IT firms, engineers, and financial advisers.
Technical Underwriting and Risk Evaluation
- Evaluate complex, high-value corporate exposures using actuarial data, financial statements, trade histories, and technical inspection reports.
- Develop risk-pricing models aligned with target loss ratios and premium targets.
- Draft, review, and negotiate policy wordings, clauses, endorsements, and warranties.
- Make independent underwriting decisions within delegated authority and escalate risks outside scope.
Reinsurance and Risk Mitigation
- Secure Facultative Reinsurance for large-capacity or high-hazard accounts exceeding local treaty capacity.
- Maintain alignment with international treaty terms, exclusions, and technical limits.
