Key skills for this role
Build the financial backbone of a high-growth brand. This is not a maintenance-only accounting seat. You will help bring finance fully in-house and build the accounting foundation, reporting rhythm, controls, and cash-flow discipline that allow BOLT FARM to scale with confidence.
Own numbers leadership can trust. Leadership needs financials that are accurate, reconciled, defensible, and useful. Your work will directly shape how the company understands cash, margin, spend, profitability, and growth decisions.
Turn complexity into clean systems. You will work across multiple entities, departments, locations, vendors, budgets, capital needs, and tax/compliance requirements — and turn that complexity into structure.
Use finance as an operating advantage. Clean books are the floor. The goal is better cash visibility, tighter controls, smarter spending, faster reporting, stronger margins, and better decisions.
Partner directly with leadership. You will work closely with the CEO, department leaders, banks, lenders, advisors, and our technical team to make finance sharper, faster, and more scalable.
Leverage AI, automation, and better tools. We want someone who is energized by reducing manual work, improving reporting, and using technology wisely — while still owning the accuracy of every number.
The finance function is becoming a much more central operating system inside BOLT FARM. As the business grows from a high-performing flagship into a larger, more complex portfolio, finance can no longer be reactive, outsourced, or dependent on messy manual processes.
You will partner directly with the CEO and department leaders, while also working with external tax advisors, banks, lenders, and internal technical support. The technical team can help build automation and dashboards. Your job is to make sure the accounting foundation underneath those tools is accurate, controlled, and trustworthy.

In the first 90 days, you will understand the current entity structure and books, identify the biggest gaps and risks, stabilize the close, clean up the chart of accounts where needed, and create a clear plan for improving close speed, cash-flow reporting, budgets, controls, and compliance.
By 4 months, BOLT FARM should have a reliable monthly close calendar, cleaner multi-entity financials, trustworthy cash-flow reporting and forecasting, current tax/regulatory filings, and cleaner department-level budget visibility.
By 6 months, the company should have a more scalable accounting foundation: faster and cleaner close, strong controls, clean multi-entity consolidation, dependable cash planning, current compliance, and reporting leadership can rely on daily.
Accurate monthly financials on a consistent close schedule, with a credible path toward a faster close as controls mature.
Clean, on-time year-end close with a complete, audit-ready workpaper package.
Current and accurate tax/regulatory compliance across all entities and jurisdictions.
Cash-flow reporting and forecasting leadership trusts to see needs, risks, and opportunities early.
Strong controls, including enforced PO/approval process, reduced reclass corrections, and reconciliations that tie out every period.
Real-time dashboards and department scorecards that leadership actually uses.
Cost savings and vendor/waste reduction without weakening financial controls or accounting accuracy.
CPA, active or inactive.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in hospitality, real estate, construction, development, property operations, or another asset-heavy / project-based business.
Experience with construction draws, lender reporting, bank financing, capital planning, or project-level financial documentation.
Experience standing up or improving purchase order systems, expense management tools, inventory controls, procurement systems, or labor tracking workflows.
Experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Ramp, Gusto, PMS/billing systems, BI tools, dashboards, automation platforms, or AI-assisted reporting workflows.
Experience supporting a high-growth company where systems, controls, and accounting structure had to be built while the business was moving quickly.
You Know You’re a Great Fit If…
You take pride in books that tie out and a close that lands on schedule.
You are accurate without being slow, analytical without being academic, and direct without creating drama.
You treat controls and compliance as non-negotiable, while still finding waste and cutting it.
You can explain financial issues in plain English to leaders who need clarity, not accounting jargon.
You are happy to use automation and AI to move faster, but you verify before you trust and own the accuracy either way.
You believe finance should help the company move faster, spend smarter, protect cash, and scale with discipline.
You want an analysis-only role.
You have not personally owned close, reconciliations, financial statements, and accounting operations.
You cannot or will not enforce spend and approval controls.
You are comfortable letting manual processes, messy books, or unclear ownership stay broken.
You treat compliance, tax, clean books, or reconciliations as someone else’s job.
You would rather add headcount than build a cleaner system.
