Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing refund requests accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation, including daily reconciliations
- Allocating payments and receipts correctly and promptly within student record systems and accounting systems.
- Investigating and resolving payment and refund discrepancies.
- Responding to refund enquiries from students, customers, and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies, and data protection requirements.
- Supporting reconciliation activities and other routine finance tasks typical of a Finance Associate
Person Specifications
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check
A levels or equivalent
AAT (partially or fully qualified) (Desirable)
Bookkeeping experience
Experience of Sage (Desirable)
Experience of education sector (Desirable)
Experience of Accounts Receivable or transactional finance role(s) (Desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
Excellent time management skills
The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and outside organisations alike
Excellent attention to detail
Self-starter, proactive mindset
Strong organisational skills with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks
