- We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our business operations, which include warehousing, transportation, open yard services, freight forwarding, and customs/documentation. The Finance Manager will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust reconciliations, statutory compliance, and insightful analysis to support business decisions. This role also includes managing and developing the finance team, creating clear development plans and ensuring a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards Prepare consolidated management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and reconcile all control accounts regularly
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Drive the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts Provide detailed variance analysis and recommend actions to support business performance Deliver financial insights and dashboards to support strategic decision-making
Cost Control & Operational Finance
- Track and control costs across warehousing, transportation, freight, and customs operations Monitor account-level profitability and cost allocations Partner with operational leads to identify financial efficiencies and improve margin performance
Compliance, Audit & Risk
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial requirements, including VAT and tax filings Lead the annual audit process — preparing schedules, coordinating with auditors, and resolving queries Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and risk mitigation measures
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Manage daily cash flow and liquidity planning Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring strong credit control and timely collections Monitor banking relationships and financial exposure
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor the finance team, setting clear objectives and performance expectations Create and implement individual development plans, fostering skills growth and succession readiness Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management to report on financial performance and key risks Collaborate with operational, commercial, and procurement teams to align financial goals and operational execution
Key Requirements
- :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant, or CPA preferred) 6–8 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or transport sectors Proven experience in leading finance teams and driving development initiatives Strong technical expertise in accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting Proficiency in financial systems and Excel modelling Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable
- :
- Logistics or warehousing industry experience in the GCC Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations, customs processes, and freight-related finance Experience working with ERP systems and automation tools.
