The Role

  • The Finance Manager is a full time remote role responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support Local's growth across the GCC.
  • This role manages monthly close, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis.
  • You'll monitor compliance with local regulations, including VAT reconciliation and filings, manage payroll through the WPS system, and coordinate with auditors, banks, and external partners.
  • Day to day responsibilities include preparing management dashboards, analysing business performance, supporting pricing and commercial decisions, and optimising financial processes and systems.

What you'll do

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across markets
  • Manage month end close, financial statements, and internal controls
  • Manage VAT reconciliation and filings
  • Manage payroll through the WPS system
  • Lead cash flow management, treasury operations, and financial risk assessment
  • Build and maintain management dashboards and performance reporting
  • Support pricing and commercial decisions with financial modelling
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external partners
  • Flag discrepancies and gaps early, with clear root cause analysis

What we're looking for

  • Strong financial planning and analysis skills: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
  • Solid accounting and reporting background: month end close, financial statements
  • Experience with VAT reconciliation and filings, and payroll management via WPS
  • Expertise in cash flow management, treasury operations, and financial risk assessment
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, able to present complex information to non finance teams
  • Knowledge of corporate finance principles; familiarity with payments, fintech, or technology business models is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or CFA an advantage
  • Experience with GCC markets, multi entity structures, or regulated environments beneficial; prior high growth or startup experience a plus
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing multiple priorities
