Role Overview

The Finance Trainee, FP&A supports financial planning and analysis through reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.

The role works closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and stakeholders across the business.

Monthly Management Information

  • Extract and organize financial reports from various sources.
  • Maintain records of reported business performance.
  • Circulate monthly management information reports to relevant stakeholders.

Budget and Forecast Submission

  • Support the budget and forecast submission process in SAP and BPC.
  • Handle quarterly uploads end-to-end as responsibilities are transitioned.
  • Inform stakeholders of final budget and forecast profit and loss figures for their business units.

Financial Analysis

  • Conduct monthly variance analysis for each line of business.
  • Provide insights from financial data to improve business decisions.
  • Understand business operations and identify over- or under-spending.

Ad Hoc and Group Reporting Support

  • Support ad hoc requests from Business Analysts and the Operations team.
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team to meet Group Reporting requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, BPC, ERP financial software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Com completed or pursuing, or Inter CA or Inter CMA qualification.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a similar profile.
  • Experience in the engineering or construction industry is preferred.
