The part-time, remote Finance Director oversees financial strategy, planning, and reporting to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
The role provides financial analysis and recommendations to leadership while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial plans and budgets.
- Prepare and review financial statements and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide clear recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize resource allocation.
- Support compliance with relevant financial standards.
- Improve financial processes and controls.
- Use digital tools for remote communication, documentation, and data analysis.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in finance, financial planning, and long-term budgeting.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting.
- Well-developed analytical skills and ability to present clear insights from complex data.
- Experience in cash flow management, cost control, and forecasting is beneficial.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial modeling tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Prior leadership or director-level finance experience is advantageous.
