Role Description
The Chief Financial Officer is a part-time, remote role overseeing all financial aspects of the organization and providing strategic guidance to leadership.
The role supports sustainable, scalable operations through financial planning, reporting, controls, and decision support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial plans and budgets, monitor cash flow, and analyze financial performance against targets.
- Prepare and review accurate, compliant, and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise on investment decisions, cost optimization, risk management, pricing, resource allocation, and long-term growth strategies.
- Establish and refine financial controls, processes, and tools that support sustainable, scalable operations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or equivalent in a growth-oriented organization.
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience preparing and interpreting financial statements and financial reports.
- Advanced analytical skills for performance evaluation, scenario modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and financial controls.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity and manage priorities, deadlines, and collaboration.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are beneficial, and an MBA is a plus.
