About the Role
An innovative, rapidly growing digital bank is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner for its Lending division.
The role provides strategic finance support for commercially sustainable, financially well-managed, Sharia-compliant lending products.
The position works with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal finance partner to the Lending leadership team.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the lending portfolio.
- Analyse lending performance, profitability, margins, customer behaviour, and commercial indicators.
- Develop financial models and business cases for products, markets, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate product economics, pricing, credit performance, and expected returns.
- Provide recommendations to senior management and monitor performance against budgets and objectives.
- Support Sharia-compliant lending product development and launch.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with Sharia principles, internal controls, and financial-services regulations.
- Build scalable reporting, planning, and performance-management processes.
Essential Experience
- Proven Finance Business Partner experience or comparable commercial finance or analytical leadership experience.
- Strong banking experience, ideally in retail lending, consumer finance, or related credit products.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting knowledge.
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel capabilities.
- Experience preparing investment cases, scenario analyses, and executive-level reports.
- Knowledge of financial-services regulatory, governance, and financial-control requirements.
- Strong commercial judgement, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to influence senior commercial decisions and challenge constructively.
- Commitment to ethical finance and Sharia-compliant banking principles.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in digital banking, fintech, or a high-growth financial-services business.
- Knowledge of Sharia-compliant lending or Islamic finance principles.
- Experience supporting retail lending product development or launch.
- Familiarity with business-intelligence platforms, financial technology, and automation tools.
- CFA qualification or progress toward the CFA designation.
- Arabic or additional language capabilities.
