Job Description

  • This Finance Analyst role sits within the Diabetes Care division of a global corporate finance team, based in the UAE and covering the Gulf and Pakistan region.
  • The position provides financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and management reporting support to country management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and quarterly forecasting and business review cycles, working closely with country General Managers on sales and expense forecasts.
  • Correlate sales pipeline data to financial forecasts and communicate consolidated forecasting packages to Regional HQ on a timely basis.
  • Provide in market and to market inventory analysis for distributor markets across the Gulf and Pakistan.
  • Manage headcount and expense forecasting by country and by function.
  • Facilitate variance analysis against financial commitments and load forecast data into the financial system.
  • Coordinate the monthly close of financial books and maintain the integrity of the P&L.
  • Develop business cases for new product launches, tenders, and country level projects.
  • Collaborate with country teams to identify new business opportunities.
  • Support Regional HQ function managers and country management with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and value added analytics across current operations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; an MBA or professional accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of post qualification experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Cognos based financial systems is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with well developed analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self starting approach with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative team player with clear and effective communication skills.
