Finance Analyst

Overview

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze financial data, including revenues, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• Provide commentary and insights on financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical data.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, investigating and explaining variances.
• Support the development of long-term financial models and scenario analyses to guide strategic planning.
• Update forecasts based on changing business conditions, market trends, and operational inputs.

Financial Modeling & Decision Support

• Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and projects.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses, risk assessments, and return on investment calculations for proposed initiatives.
• Support business cases for new projects, product launches, market expansions, and capital expenditures.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership.

Data Management & Systems

• Extract, clean, and manipulate financial data from enterprise resource planning systems and other sources.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all financial reports and analyses.
• Support the implementation and optimization of financial planning and analysis tools and systems.
• Automate recurring reports and analysis where possible to improve efficiency.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all financial analysis and reporting activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations, including those from the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority or other applicable bodies.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing requested documentation and analysis.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with accounting, operations, sales, and other departments to gather data and understand business drivers.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.
• Build strong working relationships with budget owners and department heads to support their financial planning needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certification (CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.
• **Experience:** Proven experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, or a related role. Experience within the **[Industry]** sector in Doha or the wider Qatar market is a significant advantage.
• **Technical Proficiency:**
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, Power Query).
• Experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and financial planning and analysis software.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools is an advantage.
• **Languages:** Fluency in **English** is mandatory. Fluency in **Arabic** is a significant advantage for effective communication with local stakeholders, government entities, and clients.
