Job Overview
Independently execute and supervise field operations using advanced techniques and procedures at the well site.
Serve as a primary technical interface with clients while ensuring service quality, equipment readiness, operational excellence, and compliance.
Support complex downhole tool operations involving negative test packer assemblies and WBCO tools for cement cleanout and pre-completion work.
Responsibilities
- Plan field operations, inspect tools, perform function checks and measurements, prepare BHAs, execute jobs, and complete post-job reporting.
- Operate Wellbore Productivity and Downhole Tools and prepare or review BHA designs based on well conditions and client requirements.
- Execute wellbore cleaning and PBL operations, including deployment of WBCO assemblies.
- Perform negative testing, liner top testing, packer setting, cleanout, cement drill-out, casing cleanout, pickling, circulation, and displacement operations.
- Oversee client-site jobs, troubleshoot operational issues, monitor parameters, and recommend technical solutions.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, records, pipe tallies, BHA and completion data, job reports, tickets, utilization sheets, and invoicing documentation.
- Mentor junior Field Specialists, communicate with clients and operations teams, provide on-call support, and support continuous improvement.
Skills
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of Wellbore Productivity and Downhole Tools.
- Strong experience with WBCO tools, PBL operations, negative test packer assemblies, liner top test tools, packer systems, cleanout assemblies, and circulating tools.
- Ability to prepare complex BHA designs, troubleshoot downhole tools, supervise wellsite operations, and provide client-facing technical guidance.
- Strong understanding of completion, wellbore preparation, well control, safe operating practices, HSE, documentation, and post-job reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure in challenging field environments and provide extended or on-call support.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant oilfield experience in Wellbore Productivity, Downhole Tools, Completions, or Well Intervention.
- Experience with complex downhole field operations, wellbore cleaning, PBL, WBCO, cement cleanout, and pre-completion applications.
- IWCF Supervisor Level or IADC WellCAP certification is preferred.
- Drilling, completion, or workover experience is desirable; willingness to work onshore or offshore and travel is required.
