Role Overview
Field Service Technician responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of customer machine tool equipment, controls, and related components.
The role works independently at customer sites and supports customer service satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tools and controls.
- Perform equipment improvements and preventive maintenance.
- Provide technical support and customer training.
- Resolve electrical and mechanical issues and communicate repair or installation status.
- Complete service and installation documentation.
- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate customer issue resolution with internal departments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from a technical school is required.
- An associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- One to three years of experience with CNC machines and controls.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the workweek, including some overnight travel.
