Role overview
Install, maintain, modify, refurbish, test, and fault-diagnose electrical power distribution equipment.
Support customer sites across the UK and overseas, including offshore and critical infrastructure environments.

Technical service activities
- Work on LV and HV switchgear, AIS, GIS, transformers, ATS, EV charging infrastructure, and protection and control wiring.
- Perform installation, maintenance inspections, refurbishment, retrofit, condition assessments, fault diagnosis, and rectification.
- Carry out insulation resistance, ducter resistance, functional, and system testing.
- Install, commission, test, and maintain ATS and AC/DC EV charging systems.
Safety and reporting
- Complete site-specific risk assessments and support preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
- Maintain compliance with company, customer, statutory, LV, and HV safety requirements.
- Produce service reports, test documentation, maintenance records, timesheets, expenses, and site paperwork.
Customer and business support
- Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, maintenance contracts, and additional business.
- Provide technical information for quotations and service proposals and assist with workshop testing and FAT.
Essential requirements
- At least two years of relevant electrical power distribution experience.
- Experience with LV and HV switchgear and systems up to 33kV.
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience in relevant industrial or critical power environments.
- Relevant electrical qualification, full UK driving licence, and valid passport.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong electrical safety, safe systems of work, communication, and customer-facing skills.
Desirable requirements
- Experience with EV charging infrastructure and Automatic Transfer Switches.
- Experience with equipment from major switchgear and power equipment manufacturers.
- EV charging installation, OEM product, High Voltage Authorised Person, or SF6 gas handling qualifications.
Compensation
- The expected UK pay range is GBP 35,200 to GBP 52,800 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives.
Travel and work location
- The role is based in South UK and requires extensive travel to UK, overseas, offshore, customer, workshop, and project locations.
