Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduled preventive maintenance services, as well as corrective, 24/7 emergency, and paid services to customers in assigned area.
  • Assist with start-up services on new products as required.
  • Report product quality issues to senior technician and/or manager, and file quality reports as directed/required.
  • Promote and assist with parts orders, provide recommended parts lists to clients and recommend inventory stocking levels to customers as required.
  • Train customers, and conduct periodic visits to monitor product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that required administrative paperwork, Service Work Orders, Expense Reports and Downtime Reports, and start-up logs are properly filled out and processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times when working with customers.
  • Adhere to and strictly enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend required training programs to keep current on system updates.
  • Position may require some travel as well as holiday and weekend work. Extensive on-call is also required year-round (24/7/365).

  • Signaler les problèmes de qualité des produits à l'ingénieur senior et/ou au responsable, et remplir les rapports de qualité selon les instructions.
  • Promouvoir et faciliter les commandes de pièces détachées, fournir des listes de pièces recommandées aux clients et recommender des niveaux de stock aux clients, selon les besoins.
  • Former les clients, et effectuer des visites périodiques de service à la clientèle afin de contrôler les performances des produits et la satisfaction des clients.
  • S'assurer que les documents administratifs requis, les bons de travail, les rapports de dépenses et les rapports d'indisponibilité, ainsi que les journaux de démarrage sont correctement remplis et traités en temps opportun.
  • Une tenue correcte est exigée pour tous les contacts clients.
  • Respecter et appliquer strictement toutes les politiques et procédures de sécurité de l'entreprise.
  • Participer aux programmes de formation obligatoires afin de se tenir informé des mises à jour du système.Le poste peut nécessiter certains déplacements ainsi que du travail pendant les jours fériés et les week-ends. Une disponibilité importante est également requise tout au long de l'année (24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, 365 jours par an).

Application Requirements

  • Vocational school, related military experience, or job experience equivalent.
  • 1-3 years field service experience with electro-mechanical products.
  • Successful candidates will have an effective communication style that builds customers' trust and satisfaction.
  • Ability to read blue prints, schematics and wiring diagrams to extract necessary technical information.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills (customer service skills) and communication skills.
  • PC software and hardware literate / Windows Application experience.
  • Basic computer networking skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, well organized, and be able to work independently without supervision.
  • Experience working in a mission-critical, on-call environment is strongly preferred. Experience with 24/7 on-call is ideal.
  • Associate's Degree from a Technical or Vocational School preferred.
  • MUST reside in Quebec, Canada, and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30 to 70% of the time for technical support and training purposes.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-call hours including weekend, night, and/or holiday work.
  • Ability and willingness to lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
  • Must be fluent in both English and French.
