Role Overview
Mechanical Site Service Engineer responsible for aftermarket site services and mechanical installation of mining equipment.
The role covers Hydromet and Pyromet equipment, including rotary kilns, coolers, dryers, filters, thickeners, granulators, and coaters.
Site Service Responsibilities
- Deliver aftermarket site services for FLSmidth and similar equipment in the mining industry.
- Perform mechanical site installation of Pyromet core products.
- Follow FLSmidth and client safety standards at site.
- Complete safety inspections, access permits, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Understand work scope, schedules, manpower, tools, and tackles for shutdowns and new installations.
- Ensure work complies with instruction manuals, drawings, and SOPs.
- Supervise mechanical contractors on site.
- Prepare trial protocols, commissioning reports, and performance test reports.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, and FLSmidth functions for safe site execution.
- Prepare minutes of meetings and obtain client sign-off.
- Resolve site-related product issues with product lifecycle management teams.
- Support aftermarket business development by identifying potential and generating leads.
