Position Overview
This is a winter internship providing hands-on experience related to a full-time construction career.
Interns develop and participate in construction management roles and functions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Interns may be assigned as office interns, field interns, or estimating interns.
District and Market
The Eastern Canada District works across transportation infrastructure, power, renewable energy, industrial, and heavy mechanical equipment projects.
Teams may relocate based on available work, development plans, skills, and career goals.
Responsibilities
- Tasks include field engineering, operations planning, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, procurement, contract administration, estimating, and supervision of field activities.
- Interns perform engineering tasks, maintain project records, plan work segments, investigate incidents, and recommend solutions.
- Interns review plans and specifications, determine material requirements and pricing, and coordinate supplier deliveries.
- Interns estimate costs for large-scale projects and use Hard Dollar, AutoCAD, P6, InRoads, and other software.
