Position Overview

This internship provides hands-on experience related to construction management and full-time construction careers.

Interns work with experienced engineers and may be placed in an office, field, or estimating internship assignment.

The position is part of Kiewit's Eastern Canada District and supports transportation and other infrastructure markets.

Location and Work Environment

Kiewit teams relocate based on available work, development plans, skills, and career goals.
The role may involve construction sites, varied locations, climates, and working conditions.
The position requires access to all points of a construction site.

Responsibilities

Perform field engineering, operations planning, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, procurement, contract administration, estimating, and field supervision.
Handle standard engineering tasks and minor technical problems arising during construction.
Maintain records for job progress, costs, material usage, and related project information.
Plan job segments, investigate incidents, recommend solutions, and review plans and specifications.
Coordinate suppliers and material deliveries and estimate costs for large-scale projects.
