Fiber Tech

The Fiber Optic Technician will have a strong understanding of fiber optic technology and be capable of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems.

The Fiber Optic Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

• Construct and install underground and aerial fiber optic networks for clients.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic network issues, including fiber breaks, signal degradation, and connectivity problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fiber optic systems to preemptively identify and address potential issues.
• Document all fiber optic network installations, modifications, and repairs accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with engineering and network operations teams to implement fiber optic network upgrades and expansions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with fiber optic equipment and installations.
• Keep abreast of advancements in fiber optic technology and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members and departments as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or degrees in relevant fields preferred.
• Proven experience working as a Fiber Optic Technician or in a related role.
