Family Ways Training Coordinator (Project/Program Manager II)

Position Duties

• Lead design of educational programs and training for Family Ways staff, participants, community groups and other professionals in alignment with the program’s core components. Monitor program training and educational needs and create, implement, and evaluate broad-based solutions/programs including managing timelines and reporting efforts. Develop tools and process for ongoing coaching, training, professional development as well as regular feedback. Create and promote culturally appropriate educational materials and information Lead continuous quality improvement activities in alignment with program goals/objectives. Analyze program data to support access to services and referrals and align internal training, processes, and tools to desired outcomes. Prepare Family Ways staff to utilize participant-centered, strengths-based practices. Responsible for discussing difficult topics and presenting new materials to program staff such as information fact sheets on common health concerns, developmental milestones, pregnancy and postpartum care, etc. Develop and maintain community engagement, expanding partnerships and program participation. Arrange for culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate presentations for specific audiences. Build relationships with other King County programs and community-based organizations to advance racial equity and social justice. This may include development of racial equity/anti-racism trainings or curriculum. Create, maintain, and update a library of training and reference materials. Collaborate and share decision making with team members, fostering and creating space for authentic and respectful dialogue. Respond to calls, emails, or requests in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications

• Required: Two (2) years with a proven track record in designing and developing high-impact educational content in response to program needs. Demonstrated expertise in education and behavior-change programs, training and assessment methods. Demonstrated experience advancing racial equity and social just principles linked to social service work. Trained in Promoting First Relationships as well as familiar with culturally-based parenting curricula from one of the Family Ways focus communities’ culture. Proficiency in the areas of family support, child development, pregnancy, and post-partum and able to provide training and coaching to Family Ways staff Experience in leading Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities in alignment with program goals/objectives. Ability to work with creativity and flexibility, both independently and as a team member. High level skills in effectively communicating information to a wide variety of audiences, making individual or group presentations. Strong foundation of knowledge in the Family Ways program or similarly designed program. Effective oral and written communication skills. Skills and experience using computer, Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.), electronic health records or data collection systems, video meeting platforms and a wide range of audio-visual equipment and programs. Experience building relationships and setting goals with families or clients; translates that experience into coaching and mentoring individuals and teams to enhance performance, align with model fidelity, and develop skills, using a support and goal-oriented approach. Strong team player with a track record of coordinating efforts to achieve shared goals. Desired: A passion for creating culturally relevant trainings and materials around parenting, child development, pregnancy, and the part-partum period. It is desired or preferred that candidates have direct knowledge and/or lived experience working in at least one of these communities: U.S born Black/African American, the American Indian/Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities. Experience with community engagement, working one-on-one with program participants, and home or field visits.
