Role overview
The Faculty Development Manager will lead faculty professional development, teaching enhancement, instructional innovation, academic capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role supports teaching quality, faculty capability, academic innovation, and student learning outcomes across a distributed organization.
The position is fully remote in the United Arab Emirates and is full-time.
Core responsibilities
- Develop faculty development strategies, needs assessments, annual plans, professional-development pathways, and leadership-development programs.
- Create workshops, seminars, training programs, learning communities, webinars, coaching sessions, guides, toolkits, templates, and reference materials.
- Guide faculty on teaching methods, active learning, student engagement, inclusive teaching, course structures, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Support blended, online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced teaching, including learning-management systems, virtual classrooms, and emerging instructional platforms.
- Coordinate peer learning, peer observation, mentoring, coaching, teaching reviews, communities of practice, and external partnerships.
- Manage events, schedules, registrations, communications, materials, calendars, budgets, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Monitor participation, completion, engagement, satisfaction, teaching adoption, technology adoption, and development outcomes.
