Role Overview
The Facility Maintenance Specialist supports management, operation, and maintenance of educational facilities and associated infrastructure.
The role coordinates with the Facilities Manager to prioritize repairs, maintain operational continuity, and support maintenance standards.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with management about assignment status, schedules, budgets, delays, and critical issues.
- Prioritize weekly repair requests with the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain repair logs, status updates, completion dates, and weekly reports.
- Manage supplies and equipment inventory and procure approved materials.
- Provide technical guidance to team members.
- Oversee training and evaluation of assigned technical personnel.
- Perform additional critical facility-related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Requires 10–15 years of substantial Facilities Management experience.
- Requires experience managing, operating, and maintaining educational facilities, including schools, universities, campuses, and associated infrastructure.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
Onboarding
- New employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
