Facilities Support

Purpose: To support the daily maintenance, safety, and functionality of the Market Street Mission Jersey Shore facility—ensuring the property is well-maintained, operational, and reflective of the Mission’s commitment to stewardship, excellence, and service.

Description: The Facilities Support role at the Market Street Mission Jersey Shore location is a hands-on position focused on maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment where ministry and transformation can take place.

Through consistent on-site work, attention to detail, and a willingness to serve, this role supports the daily upkeep and operation of the facility.

In addition to scheduled responsibilities, this role provides flexible availability to assist with facility needs as they arise, helping ensure the property remains ready to support the Mission’s work at all times.

• Perform routine maintenance and facility support tasks at the Jersey Shore location
• Assist with general repairs, upkeep, and daily operational needs of the property
• Support ongoing maintenance projects and seasonal facility needs
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces and storage areas
• Assist in monitoring building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Conduct basic inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Communicate clearly with the Facilities Manager regarding completed work and outstanding needs
• Safely use and properly store tools and equipment on-site
• Support preparation of the facility for programs, guests, or events as needed
• Provide additional availability to assist with urgent or after-hours facility needs when required
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a servant-minded approach in all responsibilities
