Facilities Associate

Purpose: To support the daily maintenance, safety, and functionality of all Market Street Mission facilities, equipment, and vehicles—ensuring that each space is well-maintained, operational, and reflective of the Mission’s commitment to excellence, stewardship, and service Description: The Facilities Associate at Market Street Mission plays a key role in maintaining environments where ministry and transformation can take place. Through hands-on maintenance, organization, and attention to detail, the Facilities Associate will help ensure that all properties remain safe, functional, and welcoming. This role supports the broader mission by turning everyday maintenance tasks into opportunities to serve others with diligence, integrity, and Christ-like care.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across all Mission properties as assigned
• Assist in monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, elevator, laundry, food service, and sprinkler systems
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify safety concerns or maintenance needs
• Relay work order requests and identified issues to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces, storage areas, and maintenance zones
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and used safely
• Support preventative maintenance efforts to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Assist with property upkeep at all locations, including sober houses
• Help prepare facilities for inspections, events, or seasonal needs
• Train, guide, and support Work Therapy clients in completing maintenance-related tasks
• Demonstrate Christ-like professionalism, humility, and service in all interactions
