Role Description

  • This is a part time, on site Facilities Engineering Manager role based in Dubai. The Facilities Engineering Manager oversees the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the company’s physical office and technical infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Coordinating with vendors and service providers
  • Monitoring building systems such as HVAC, electrical, access control, and safety equipment
  • Developing and updating facilities policies and procedures
  • Managing facility related budgets and procurement
  • Ensuring compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborating closely with workplace, IT, and security teams to support business continuity and enable a productive on site experience

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Facilities Engineering, including building systems, utilities, and infrastructure performance.
  • Hands on experience with Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM), including vendor coordination and space utilization.
  • Proven ability to design and implement Preventive Maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Demonstrated Maintenance Management skills, including work order management, asset tracking, and maintenance documentation.
  • Knowledge of Dubai and UAE building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and service level agreements for facilities and maintenance services.
  • Strong problem solving, prioritization, and decision making capabilities in a fast paced, high compliance environment.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional certifications in facilities or maintenance management (e.g., IFMA, CFM, FMP, PMP)
