We are currently seeking a Facilitator, Community Centre to provide the leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Downtown Community Centre.
The Neighbourhood Programs and Services (NPS) Division has 14 Community Centres throughout the City of Kitchener.
This exciting role will be the primary lead at one of the Community Centres, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring excellent service to customers.
They will also serve as a primary point of contact for engaging with a variety of community groups and stakeholders who operate out of the Downtown Community Centre.

2-year diploma or 2 years in a specialized post-secondary program in Recreation and Leisure, Social Work, Social Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated and identified successes facilitating groups towards a common goal, in a leadership position.
Proven collaborative leadership in the development and delivery of programs and services to the community, including groups such as neighbourhood associations and other neighbourhood-based groups, social agencies and other partner groups, youth, committees, volunteers and staff.
Staff and volunteer co-ordination including recruitment, training, coaching, orientation, recognition, as well as board management and development.
Program design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
