Manage, direct, coordinate, schedule, budget, and solve problems for large and complex capital projects. Negotiate, approve, and issue change orders as needed.
Provide technical guidance on building science principles and problem-solving to consultants and contractors.
Oversee project budget, track expenses, calculate and review estimates, and generate reports.
Address issues promptly, such as unforeseen conditions or cost adjustments.

Approve the design of capital projects.

Schedule capital projects and evaluate consultants.
Collaborate with the project owner and steering committee stakeholders to create a project plan.
Define project requirements, including roles and responsibilities, decision-making processes, scope of work, schedule, budget, and quality.
Maintain the project plan throughout the project’s life cycle.
Possess working knowledge and experience in sustainable architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil construction design principles and practices.
Fulfill design, negotiation, troubleshooting, and inspection duties.
Interpret and enforce construction contracts, such as CCDC, Integrated Project Delivery, and P3.
Understand and apply construction contract lien legislative law.
Coordinate a stakeholder team comprising staff, community members, and outside consultants.
Define needs and project scope in greater detail.
Establish final design approach, material selection, technical details, and refine the budget in collaboration with the project owner and consultants.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum 3-year degree or diploma in a related field.
Minimum 4 years of direct experience leading and managing large complex construction projects.
