To supervise and coordinate fabrication workshop activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work in line with project schedules and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate fabrication workforce, equipment, and workshop activities
- Monitor and control daily operations to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to schedules
- Ensure all fabrication works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Review and verify fabrication documents, including shop drawings and technical requirements
- Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
- Manage workshop facilities, including maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify workforce training needs and support skill development across production teams
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment
- Liaise with procurement to source materials and spare parts, including price comparison and vendor coordination
- Monitor and maintain records related to timesheets, attendance, leave, and workforce discipline
- Support planning and scheduling activities to meet project timelines and client expectations
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication or shipyard operations
- Experience in managing workshop activities, manpower, and schedules
Industry Knowledge
- Exposure to shipyard, fabrication, or oil & gas environments is preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and 3D modeling tools
Language
- English (mandatory)
- Arabic (preferred)

- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
