Kimpton Doha is seeking an experienced Waiter / Waitress for its luxury and lifestyle hotel dining operations in Qatar.
The role supports fine-dining service, guest satisfaction, teamwork, promotions, inventory, and revenue goals.
People and Guest Experience
- Support daily service operations and coordinate tasks to ensure smooth teamwork on the floor.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and development support to colleagues during service.
- Maintain clean service equipment, polished glassware, prepared table settings, organized dining areas, and adequate stock.
- Deliver fine-dining service, anticipate guest needs, manage requests professionally, and resolve concerns.
- Recommend dishes and wine pairings using informed menu and beverage knowledge.
Responsible Business and Revenue
- Communicate restaurant promotions, seasonal menus, and special events to guests.
- Keep informed about industry trends, menu updates, and wine selections.
- Handle, store, and rotate food and beverage items correctly to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory procedures when required.
- Upsell dishes, premium beverages, and wine pairings and handle payments accurately and securely.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a waiter in a fine-dining restaurant is required.
- Strong knowledge of wine service and pairing is required.
- Formal hospitality or wine training or certification, such as WSET, is advantageous.
