Job Summary
Develop HAL and peripheral device drivers for MCX, Crossover RT, and i.MX devices in bare-metal, ROM, and RTOS environments.
Deliver documented and tested software, verify ROM code in pre-silicon environments, support customers, and resolve system-level issues with global teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop HAL and peripheral drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and related interfaces.
- Deliver high-quality, documented, and tested code for customer reference and use.
- Verify ROM code and software deliverables on RTL and emulation platforms.
- Actively support key customers and resolve system-level issues with global teams.
- Develop ROM code without silicon and work toward close to 100% test coverage.
- Harden critical code against physical or logical attacks and meet security and safety standards.
Cross-Functional Aspects
ROM development involves collaboration with SoC, marketing, systems architecture, SoC design, verification, validation, documentation, software, and other technical teams.
Senior members of the system ROM team provide mentoring in ROM development and architecture.
