Role Overview
Chubb is seeking a Senior Equipment Breakdown Underwriter for its Midwest Region.
The role manages an assigned $7M–$8M Equipment Breakdown book covering industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, food, life sciences, real estate, wholesale distribution, and municipalities.
The position services five to six Midwest branch offices and requires regular travel and local relationship building.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and service assigned renewals, quote new business, and maintain agency and broker relationships.
- Maintain accountability for premium, profitability, growth, retention, and expense results for the assigned book.
- Develop and negotiate price, coverage, terms, and conditions for renewals and new business.
- Execute Commercial Insurance Equipment Breakdown strategies and manage the assigned portfolio.
- Analyze Equipment Breakdown risks from middle-market to large and complex accounts.
- Market to assigned territories and collaborate with Commercial Insurance Managers, Territory Underwriting Managers, and Home Office teams.
Business Development and Service
- Establish relationships with key trading partners and drive submission activity among assigned agents and brokers.
