Role Overview
Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
Lead kitchen staff while supporting efficient, safe, and profitable culinary service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Develop and customize menus with the Executive Chef.
- Analyze food costs and menu cost implications.
- Ensure food safety, FSSAI compliance, and hygiene protocols.
- Manage inventory and reduce waste while maintaining product quality.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on dishes and ingredients.
- Coordinate kitchen workflows during peak service.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement productivity improvements.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff on service and food-quality concerns.
- Stay current with culinary trends and techniques.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and long-term kitchen development.
Requirements
- At least 8–10 years of professional culinary experience in established kitchens.
- At least 3–5 years of kitchen supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience in fine dining, upscale restaurants, or premium hospitality establishments.
- Experience managing kitchen budgets, inventory, and food cost controls.
- Fluency in English.
- Additional languages are a plus.
