Role Overview
Newrest is seeking an Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef to lead pastry and bakery preparation, presentation, ingredient management, food safety, and HSE compliance.
The role focuses on producing international sweet dishes and a broad range of pastry and bakery products in a hotel or industrial catering environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and other pastry and bakery products using traditional and modern recipes.
- Supervise and coordinate pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
- Monitor baking-ingredient stocks and place appropriate orders.
- Ensure quality, quantity, hygiene, presentation, and food-safety standards are maintained while minimizing waste.
- Follow HSE rules and procedures, report hazards, near misses, and accidents, and participate actively in HSE meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience preparing international sweet dishes, pastries, and bakery products in reputable hotels or industrial catering organizations.
- Good command of English.
- Good understanding of food safety standards.
- Strong knowledge and skills in preparing all varieties of pastry and bakery items.
