About Qiddiya Investment Company

Role overview

Lead health, safety, and worker welfare delivery across Qiddiya’s active construction portfolio.

Drive construction safety compliance and assurance while overseeing incident response and worker welfare practices.

Construction safety oversight

  • Integrate pre-construction safety requirements, Safety in Design outputs, and contractor pre-qualification conditions into construction execution.
  • Oversee risk assessments for construction hazards, methodologies, and high-risk activities.
  • Lead delivery-phase safety audits and inspections using contractor, vendor, and asset risk profiles.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards, worker welfare standards, and KSA labour laws.

Inspections and corrective actions

  • Lead HSWW inspections across active construction sites and verify safe work practices and risk controls.
  • Oversee PPE procurement, distribution, compliance monitoring, and record-keeping.
  • Track corrective actions from inspections, audits, incidents, simulations, and worker welfare grievances through closure.

Incident and crisis response

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, classification, escalation, and lessons learned.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead crisis communication and regulatory reporting for serious incidents.
  • Ensure emergency medical response capability across active delivery programs.

Performance and occupational health

  • Validate HSWW KPIs, maintain performance dashboards, and consolidate safety data across construction programs.
  • Define occupational health standards, health monitoring, exposure surveillance, and contractor compliance requirements.
  • Report safety performance, incident trends, corrective actions, and compliance outcomes to leadership.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Fluency in written and verbal English is required; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
  • Candidates need advanced knowledge of construction safety standards, KSA labour laws, and occupational health frameworks.
  • At least 18 years of relevant experience in large-scale international construction delivery or related fields is required, including leadership experience.
  • Experience leading construction safety functions in complex and diverse construction environments is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional certifications or memberships such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CMIOSH, or CIOB are preferred.
  • A master’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field is preferred.
