We are establishing a pool of pre-qualified candidates to staff temporary and permanent Executive Assistant positions at the Bank of Canada.
You will be part of a multifaceted workplace and provide full clerical and administrative support to departmental staff.
You will also be accountable for a wide range of office management and operational support services for the department.

What you need to succeed
You are a proactive and collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and contributes to shared goals.
You can manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment by anticipating impacts, identifying risks, and planning ahead to meet deadlines.
You possess strong organizational skills, effectively navigate shifting priorities, and keep work moving forward.
You demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs, solving problems, and delivering high-quality results on time.
You have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), a solid understanding of office procedures and policies, and consistently handle confidential information with discretion.
As well, you possess strong written and verbal communication skills, can write clear and grammatically accurate short documents, and can convey straightforward messages with tact.
You are open-minded, adaptable, and take initiative to proactively overcome any work obstacles that may arise, such as prioritising competing demands and re-negotiating deadlines while ensuring quality.
Your education and experience
This position requires an administration certificate/diploma or high school diploma and a minimum of two full years of recent work experience providing administrative support services.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

We seek individuals who can think critically about data, question existing processes, and find ways to simplify our work while embracing change and new ways of doing things.
Language requirement T he Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French.
The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional).
If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered.
Training may be provided to help reach the required level.

Hybrid Work Model The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture.
Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues.
You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
