Reports directly to the Estimating Manager. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely takeoffs for projects involving Window Wall, Curtain Wall, Railings, Metal Panels, Cladding and other facade systems.
Duties are responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Set up project files and maintain the folder structure;
Review RFQs, SOW, Levelling Sheets, Specifications, Estimator Checklists, Infills, Wind Reports, Acoustic Reports, Energy Modeling Reports, Thermal Documents/Calculations and any other project documents for scope and pricing accuracy;
Confirm scope of work and clarify inclusions/exclusions and equipment requirements;
Identify major items for the Estimating Manager review;
Collaborate to prepare bid forms, supplier quotes, and subcontractor inquiries;
Review scope specifications and drawings to confirm compliance with bid scope;
Identify required custom details to PTA and prepare pricing to reflect developed details;
Communicate with the Bid Coordinator and Business Development Team to gather any necessary information;
Maintain up-to-date records and project specific Estimating files;
Schedule, coordinate and participate in pre-kickoff, kickoff, pre-closeout, closeout and any other Estimating meetings;
Complete square footage checks, including breakout scopes and double checks within allowable tolerances; and
Represent State, as requested, in business with customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology and Construction Management; and
Construction Estimation Certification is an asset.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Estimating within the Construction and Manufacturing industry; and
Experience in facade systems such as Window Wall, Curtain Wall and Railings is considered an asset.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office.
