Full Job Posting

Meeting with Project Managers and Superintendents to review cost projections and budgets
Reviewing project specifications, blueprints, site surveys, and geotechnical reports
Calculating the cost of labor, equipment, material, operator time, hauling, and disposal fees
Negotiating bids and proposals from GCs, developers, and property owners
Generating “bid packages” of proposals and estimates in ProContractor
Completing front-end reports, addendums, pay schedules, and plans sheets
Conducting site evaluations to identify logistical challenges, and accessibility issues
Identify and address safety hazards and other site conditions that may impact costs
Building contingencies designed to avoid potential risks associated with projects
Maintaining positive relationships with clients, property owners, and managers
Conducting post-project evaluations to identify “lessons learned” for the future
Performing additional duties throughout the course of ongoing and future projects
At least 2 years of Estimator experience in construction/earthmoving/dirt work
Experience conducting high-priced negotiations and formal presentations
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and be able to drive company vehicle(s)
Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (ProContractor is a plus )
Must be willing and able to travel around the Midwest (OH, IN, KY and WV)
