Estimation and QS Engineer

Overview

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for GRC projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements for estimation purposes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Analyze labor, production, material, and installation costs.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams for pricing inputs.
• Prepare tender submissions, quotations, and commercial proposals.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and budget utilization.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for cost optimization.
• Support contract administration and commercial documentation.
• Prepare project progress reports, payment applications, and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and commercial requirements.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in estimation and quantity surveying.
• Experience in GRC, precast, façade, or related manufacturing/construction industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation processes.
• Good understanding of production, installation, and project coordination activities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation/QS software.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and project commercial activities effectively.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and market rates.
