The role combines estimation, procurement, and billing responsibilities.
The position supports proposal costing, vendor and subcontractor coordination, procurement scheduling, and project cost tracking.
Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs and analyse subcontractor and vendor quotations.
- Prepare quick cost estimates for proposals under tight deadlines.
- Review material and labour costs and prepare cost evaluations and comparisons.
- Prepare documents to invite quotations from vendors and contractors.
- Negotiate prices and delivery terms with subcontractors and material vendors.
- Oversee procurement according to the project schedule.
- Select, compare, and verify unit rates and delivery timelines.
- Check and prepare purchase orders.
- Finalize accounts during final measurement.
- Track and update cost estimates as project costs escalate.
Qualifications and tools
- A degree or diploma in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project is required.
