The Truss Designer at The Lester Group is responsible for the accurate and
efficient design of roof and floor truss systems that meet customer specifications,

production, and field operations to ensure high-quality, buildable truss solutions

Key Responsibilities
-Design roof and floor truss systems using industry-standard software (MiTek,
Alpine, or similar).
-Interpret architectural and structural plans, specifications, and job requirements.
-Ensure compliance with applicable local and national building codes.
-Produce truss layouts, individual truss drawings, and manufacturing
documentation.
-Make service calls in the field for customer service and support issues

-Call on new customer prospects as needed to help the organization drive to its
sales growth goals
-Work closely with sales, production, engineers, and customers to resolve design
issues.
-Respond to job changes, field conditions, and revision requests.
-Provide technical support to plant operations and field personnel as needed.
-Review designs for accuracy, material optimization, and manufacturability.
-Meet design deadlines to support production and delivery schedules.
-Maintain organized project files and documentation.
-Regular walking, standing, and sitting; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
