Role Description
- The ER Head Nurse is a full time, on site role based in Jeddah.
- Responsible for leading and coordinating all nursing activities in the emergency department.
- Oversees triage, patient flow, and nursing assignments to ensure timely, safe, and high quality emergency care.
Daily Responsibilities
- Supervising nursing staff and providing clinical guidance.
- Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and infection control standards.
- Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting critical decision making in urgent situations.
- Addressing complex patient care needs.
- Mentoring and training staff.
- Managing schedules, monitoring performance and documentation quality.
- Contributing to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Nursing and Emergency Nursing.
- Proficiency in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine principles.
- Proven Patient Care skills.
- Valid nursing license and appropriate professional registration.
- Several years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care, including prior leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Excellent team leadership, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Competence in electronic medical records and basic digital tools.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent); advanced certifications in emergency or critical care nursing are an advantage.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and delivering a high standard of patient experience.
