Role Overview
The Private Equity Associate supports investment sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, portfolio management, and value creation initiatives.
The role works with investment professionals, senior leadership, portfolio companies, advisors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate private equity investment opportunities.
- Conduct financial, commercial, operational, market, company, industry, and competitor analysis.
- Build financial models, valuation analyses, forecasts, and investment cases.
- Support due diligence across financial, commercial, operational, legal, tax, and strategic areas.
- Analyze financial performance, revenue growth, margins, cash flow, capital structure, and business fundamentals.
- Evaluate IRR, MOIC, cash-on-cash returns, and downside scenarios.
- Prepare investment memoranda, committee presentations, valuation reports, and transaction materials.
- Support deal structuring, negotiations, financing analysis, and transaction execution.
- Coordinate with investment banks, advisors, consultants, management teams, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor portfolio companies, develop value creation plans, and track key performance indicators.
- Conduct portfolio reviews and support exit planning, including sales, secondary transactions, and recapitalizations.
- Maintain investment documentation, databases, models, transaction records, and data-driven recommendations.
