The Utility Aide reports directly to the Environmental Services Supervisor and is responsible for assisting with and ensuring that the requirements of the Ministry of Long Term Care and other legislation that affect the operation of the department are met. The position follows the Environmental Services department policies and procedures, ensures work areas are maintained in a safe, clean and sanitary condition. This position assumes an active role in the infection control programme and assists with the orientation of new staff as required. The Utility Aide performs daily upkeep of assigned equipment, ordering, monitor inventory, receiving and delivery of supplies as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Moving equipment and performing other related tasks.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Working with cleaning materials, exposed to dirt, dust, smells, etc.
Ontario upper-tier municipal government providing housing, emergency, social, transportation, environmental, planning, and seniors’ services to regional residents.
