This role will be responsible for managing environmental issues on a day-to-day basis, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders. Proven experience managing environmental aspects of transit projects, with a strong understanding of local environmental regulations and processes.
Demonstrated success in managing the environmental issues on large-scale infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of the Province of Ontario’s Transit Project Assessment Process, GO Transit Class EA Document, and the Environmental Assessment Act (Ontario).
Strong understanding of federal and provincial environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with governmental authorities, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Proficiency in developing, tracking, and monitoring environmental metrics and performance indicators in line with best practices.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve environmental issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Experience liaising with governmental authorities, contractors, and consultants in the Ontario region is a significant asset.
Must demonstrate an ability to manage complex environmental issues and provide strategic recommendations to ensure compliance and project success.
Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000 CAD annually
