Entry-Level Accountant / Yard Operations Accountant

Position Overview

Scale and Truck Operations

• Manage truck intake and dispatch and maintain orderly traffic through yard entry and exit points.
• Operate the weighbridge or truck scale to record gross, tare, and net weights for incoming and outgoing loads.
• Inspect driver documents, verify load receipts, and issue weigh tickets.

Data Entry and Accounting Support

• Record scale weights, scrap classifications, customer details, and pricing accurately in Excel templates.
• Cross-check transaction logs against physical weight tickets and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized daily Excel ledger sheets for internal audit tracking.

Petty Cash and Safe Cash Management

• Manage petty cash disbursements with voucher documentation and receipts.
• Handle cash payments to scrap sellers and verify amounts against scale tickets.
• Reconcile safe cash daily against sales receipts, tickets, and cash logs.
• Prepare daily cash flow reports and secure funds in the safe at the end of each shift.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and formatting.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and trustworthy cash-handling habits.
• Comfort working in an industrial or scrap yard office setting with heavy truck traffic.
• Clear communication skills for liaising with drivers, yard staff, and management.

Compensation

• The stated pay is SAR 3,000 per month.
• Housing is provided by the employer.

Work Location

• The work location is in person.
