Engineering Technician (12-months FTC)
Business Area: Nestle Beverages Location: Tutbury, Derbyshire
Shift pattern: 3 on/3 off – 12-hour shifts – Day shifts only – Inclusive of all bank holidays - 42.31 hours a week.
We are recruiting for an Industrial Services Engineering Technician to join the engineering team to support specifically the water treatment/ process effluent plant on site.
This is a 12-month secondment role, reporting directly into the Maintenance Planner.
Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after a £250 million investment over the last few years. The factory produces several of the most well-known Nescafé products in the world through freeze-dried, spray dried, pod coffee production technologies and is at the forefront of coffee production globally.

Your impact
Ultimately, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations and maintenance functions across the Tutbury manufacturing plant. This will include a focus specifically on the water treatment/ process effluent plant on site.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out daily preventative maintenance tasks.
Reacting to breakdowns with a sense of urgency and safety.
Using SAP system to capture work orders and sign off tasks.
Working on engineering improvement projects.
Your ingredients for success
We’re looking for an experienced engineering technician and enthusiastic person to join our team. you will need to be a flexible individual with excellent attention to detail to succeed in our fast-paced environment.
Other key attributes include:
Advanced apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is essential – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum standard, ideally with an Electrical bias. HNC in similar discipline would be desirable but is not essential.
Previous experience working in an automated manufacturing/industrial service process
Good knowledge of asset maintenance
Knowledge of TPM
Knowledge of boiler house maintenance and operations would be desirable as would knowledge working with effluent treatment plant.
