Understand cost management requirements from funding through project closeout, ensuring compliance with applicable processes, policies, and governance expectations.
Support cost management for global capital projects, including cost reporting, forecasting, commitments, actuals, accruals, change tracking, budget tracking, variance analysis, and closeout support.
Review and analyze scopes of work, engineering estimates, and contractor bids to support informed project decisions.
Evaluate engineering and contractor physical progress against approved scope and project expectations.
Cost forecasts against scope, schedule, and project performance indicators.
Review change orders and invoices to support accurate cost control and payment processing.
Monitor and support the management of capitalized overhead across the portfolio.
Prepare cost analytics, dashboards, and reports to support global projects
Utilize AI for improved predictability.
Monitor and reporting of project cash flow to enable accurate capital latest estimate predictions across the portfolio.
Perform risk analysis reviews for cost estimates, forecasts, and schedules using applicable tools and software packages.
Apply strong analytical insight to support project teams with effective evaluation, analysis, and decision-making.
Work closely with the Front-End Planning team to support cost managers globally.
Partner with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Source-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, and global project teams to improve cost visibility, predictability, and issue resolution.
Ensure standardization, compliance, audit readiness, and process discipline across cost management workflows, tools, templates, and ways of working.
Communicate and escalate project matters and project controls performance proactively.
Closeout of contracts, purchase orders, and projects within the assigned portfolio.
Compliance and audit readiness across cost management
Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
Support Engineering Digital Transformation workstreams.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
8–13 years of experience in project controls, cost management, engineering, finance, procurement, capital projects, or a related field.
Experience in the global pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Functional Skills (Must Have):
Strong experience working in teams, service delivery, and operational performance in a project controls or capital project environment.
Deep understanding of cost management, project controls, forecasting, reporting, commitments, actuals, accruals, and variance analysis.
Strong experience with SAP-enabled cost management, project controls, finance, or Source-to-Pay processes.
Ambition for continuous improvement, standardization, process discipline.
Experience partnering across Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Source-to-Pay, Digital, and project teams.
Strong ability to use AI Tools, data, reporting, and process metrics to improve visibility, quality, and decision-making.
Strong understanding of process compliance, audit readiness, documentation discipline, and internal controls within project controls, cost management, or finance-related workflows.
Ability to work across global, cross-functional stakeholder environments.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience supporting capital projects within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing industry.
Experience working in a centralized service model or global capability center.
Familiarity with Power BI, dashboards, automation, analytics, or project controls reporting tools.
Experience managing or coordinating internal and external project controls / cost management resources.
Experience improving finance, procurement, or Source-to-Pay workflows related to capital projects.
Professional Certifications:
Relevant certification in project management, project controls, cost management, continuous improvement, finance, or related discipline preferred.
Soft Skills:
Communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across global teams, cultures, and time zones.
